Rochesterfest

June is a busy and exciting time for the people of Rochester. If you’re in the area, check out the Rochesterfest. It is a nine-day festival that is typically scheduled in June. This family-friendly event will take place from June 18-25. You can expect to experience some quality food options from local restaurants, eateries, and food trucks. Be sure to take part in the annual treasure hunt and see if you can score the beloved and coveted Rochesterfest Official Treasure Hunt Medallion.

If you have kids, they’ll delight to play in Family Service Rochester’s “Once Upon a Playhouse.” It is a collection of three different unique playhouses designed, built, and donated by the Rochester Area Builders. The kids can choose from the Barn, Timberwolf Lodge, or the Pergola. The kids can get out all that extra energy while the adults get a few minutes to relax.

Test your luck and see if you can win one of these playhouses by buying a ticket to the raffle. Each ticket is only $10, or increase your chances and grab three raffle tickets for $25. The proceeds support Family Service Rochester’s, so you know your money is going to make a difference. They will hold the drawing at Rochesterfest at 6 p.m., on Saturday, June 29. Complete your celebration at Rochesterfest by staying around for the parade on Saturday, June 25, at 2 p.m. You’ll see area marching bands, local groups, and lots of smiling faces.

The annual event is free to enter, but be sure to take plenty of money to buy food, drinks, and even a couple of souvenirs from local vendors and artisans. It is a great opportunity to support area small businesses and the local economy. This year it is located at the Soldier’s Field Track Area. Gates typically open from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekdays and 10:30 p.m. on weekends.
