The 2022 Kia Telluride is here. This midsize three-row Kia seeks to redefine what drivers consider a luxury SUV experience. Though the exterior is already impressive-looking enough, the features just get more exciting once you look at the interior. Trim Levels: Choose Your Own Adventure
The level of luxury your 2022 Kia Telluride delivers largely depends on the trim level you choose. The new Telluride offers four trim levels called the LX, S, EX, and SX. You can upgrade the latter two trim levels with the EX Premium and SX Prestige packages for even more exciting interior features. Though the entry-level LX is equipped with an impressive number of creature comforts—such as high-quality speakers, quiet mode, and dual front car holders—the Telluride experience only improves as you progress through the trim levels.

Each color and material option has an accompanying set of accents. The leather options have woodgrain accents for the dashboard and interior door panels, while the SynText upholstery has glossy metallic-style options instead. The colors of the accents change depending on the color of the leather.
Cabin Space
The Telluride’s midsize SUV body provides up to eight passengers, meaning you’ll have plenty of room for relaxation during a drive. You can opt for captain’s chairs in the second row that will decrease your passenger capacity to seven, but provide a first-class experience for your passengers.
The trim levels have different levels of headroom depending on whether there’s a sunroof. The LX does not come standard with a sunroof, while the S and EX both sport a single-pane sunroof. The SX boasts dual sunroofs that let even more light into the cabin.

The Telluride’s reconfigurable seating allows you to strike the perfect balance between passenger and cargo volume. All models come standard with one-touch sliding and folding second-row seats to allow for easier access to the third row. The rear cargo area also has an adjustable cargo floor that you can drop down to fit taller cargo items, like luggage or moving boxes.

Each Telluride trim provides a customizable dual-zone automatic climate control with an automatic defog system to keep your whole cabin comfortable in any weather. The rear passenger area also gets its own automatic climate control.
Heated front seats show up as a standard feature at the S trim level, while the EX introduces ventilated front seats. Heated and ventilated second-row seats are an available upgrade for the SX trim level, while a steering wheel is optional for the EX and SX.
If you want to set the mood for your night drives, choose the SX to get a customizable 64-color ambient mood lighting system. Adjust your driver’s seat to fit your body with the S and EX’s eight-way power-adjustable seat or a 10-way version in the SX. Both have two-way power lumbar support. The front passenger seat gets eight-way power adjustability at the EX level, while SX adds an upgraded driver’s seat that comes with memory settings.

Rather than only providing a great array of drive-enhancing technologies in the upper trims, the 2022 Telluride gives them to you from the start. Each trim level is outfitted with a 10.25-inch central touch screen that runs on Kia Connect and offers a built-in navigation system.
The Telluride’s central screen comes standard with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. These programs allow you to connect a smartphone to your Kia to access some of your favorite apps either by selecting them on the touch screen or using voice commands. Keep your devices at full power with the wireless phone charger that’s standard at the Telluride S level or via a maximum of seven USB ports placed throughout the cabin.
Select a music streaming service of choice to hear your favorite songs through the Telluride’s quality six-speaker sound system. If you choose the SX, however, your listening experience gets even better thanks to a 10-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system with an external amplifier and subwoofer.
A head-up display is available through the SX Prestige Package. This feature projects important driving information above your steering wheel so you can stay focused on the road ahead instead of a driver display in the center console.
Safety Features
The SX gives you an upgraded 7-inch digital driver display. This screen shows you the world through your blind-spot view monitor’s camera so you can triple-check to make sure an adjacent lane is clear before merging. If a collision proves unavoidable, the Telluride helps reduce the impact with its full airbag system, complete with side curtain airbags for all three rows and one near the driver’s side knee. The Telluride also offers Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children, or LATCH, as a standard feature so you can securely attach a child-size car seat.
