For example, you can find a late-model Kia Optima equipped with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder hybrid powertrain. It can make 192 horsepower, and the EPA estimates the Optima hybrid gets up to 45 mpg. Most models built after 2016 come with the infotainment technology drivers want. This includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These systems enable you to sync your smartphone to access your favorite apps. You can also make calls using the touch screen or voice command.

Other Kia hybrids include the Niro. Kia began offering the Niro plug-in hybrid in 2018. It comes with all the advanced driver-assist systems to help keep you safe. The Niro offers impressive performance from a front-wheel-drive platform. Its powertrain provides plenty of power on demand.

Kia's most recent hybrid vehicle, the Sorento hybrid, has three rows of seating for up to seven in the 2-3-2 configuration. Unfortunately, the oldest Sorento hybrid falls in the 2021 model year. As with most plug-in hybrid vehicles, the Sorento can drive in electric-only mode for up to 32 miles. As a result, drivers who stay close to home may never need to stop for gas.
