2022 Kia Niro LX

The 2022 Kia Niro LX is the entry point to this sporty crossover. Starting at $24,690 MSRP, the LX features a 1.6-liter four-cylinder and Full Parallel Hybrid System that’s standard for all models. It boasts a combined drivetrain horsepower of 104 horsepower at 5,700 rpm and a combined drivetrain torque of 109 pound-feet at 4,000 rotations per minute. The LX, which features the Niro’s standard 11.9-gallon fuel tank, offers the best EPA mpg estimates of all the trims. It averages 50 mpg combined with 53 mpg for city driving and 48 mpg for highway driving.

All 2022 Kia Niro models provide comfortable seating for up to five passengers with 60/40 split-folding rear seating in the second row. The spacious interior allows for 19.4 cubic feet of storage with the rear seat up or 54.5 cubic feet of storage with the rear seat down. The front row of seating includes a four-way adjustable driver’s seat and a four-way adjustable passenger seat, which is standard for all trims.

Drive comfortably with 16-inch aero wheels with full covers, exclusive to the LX trim. Similar to all Niro trims, the LX has a dual-clutch six-speed automatic transmission, front-wheel drive (FWD), and a four-wheel disc with an anti-lock brake system (ABS). Also exclusive to the LX trim, you can unlock the car with a keyless entry system and start it using an illuminated keyhole. Enjoy Kia Connect technology on an 8-inch touchscreen with AM, FM, and USB audio capabilities, playable on its six-speaker audio system. You can also access mobile phone applications wirelessly through Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.

2022 Kia Niro LXS

The 2022 Kia Niro LXS starts at $26,090 MSRP and introduces some upgrades from the LX model available in all higher trims. The LXS introduces the luggage board with an underfloor storage tray and a folding rear-center armrest with cup holders, providing you with even more storage space in your vehicle. Enjoy a more luxurious driving experience with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, gearshift knob, and Smart Key features, including push-button start, remote engine start, and immobilizer abilities.

The LXS averages an EPA estimate of 49 combined mpg with 51 mpg for city driving and 46 mpg for highway driving. This trim also features 16-inch alloy wheels with partial covers. Like the LX trim, this model has rear combination lights, dual map lamps, and room lamps in its interior. Unlike the LX, however, it also comes with a high beam assist system.

Upgrading to the LXS model also provides you with a range of safety features unavailable in the base model, like:

The LXS Special Edition model, alongside all higher trims, includes a power sunroof and an upgrade to the driver’s seat. It offers a 10-way power driver’s seat adjustment feature with two-way power lumbar support. This trim, as well as the basic LXS model, are the only models with the same audio system as the LX trim. It also includes the Park Distance Warning – Reverse feature, which is only otherwise available with the EX Premium trim.

2022 Kia Niro Touring Special Edition

The 2022 Kia Niro Touring Special Edition, starting at $29,890 MSRP, enhances your options for driving in luxury. It has SynTex seating materials in light gray with electric blue accents or charcoal. It also introduces the upgraded audio and technology system that’s included in the EX Premium. It features Kia Connect with a 10.25-inch touchscreen display containing a voice-command navigation system, SiriusXM Radio, and HD Radio. This connects to a Harman Kardon eight-speaker premium sound system featuring Clari-Fi technology and an integrated subwoofer.

Compared to the other trims, the Touring Special Edition has the lowest EPA estimates with 43 mpg combined, 46 mpg for city driving, and 40 mpg for highway driving. It’s the only trim with 18-inch alloy wheels and P225/45R18 tires, rather than P205/60R16 tires. It also includes features like:
