Both trims are powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 120 horsepower and 112 pound-feet of torque. Few changes will be made to the Rio for the upcoming model year, except for adding an oil level sensor to the engine. The MSRP for the LX is just $17,645, with the S at $18,285.

2023 Kia Forte

Another sedan from Kia that will see few changes for the 2023 model year is the Forte. You should find four trims for the 2023 Kia Forte : FE, LXS, GT-Line, and GT. You get 15-inch steel wheels, a four-speaker stereo, multiple driving modes, and an 8-inch touch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard features. The first three trims feature a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine for 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque, while the GT has a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder that delivers 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque.

The only updates for 2023 belong to the GT, with Kia’s Forward Collision Avoidance Fusion suite, which consists of an electronic parking brake, navigation-based smart cruise control, highway driver assist, and forward collision alert for cyclists. The Forte is just a little more expensive than the Rio, featuring an MSRP for the LXS of $20,585.

New features include the Panoramic Roof package on the GT-Line, a heated steering wheel on the GT-Line all-wheel-drive models, and acoustic front glass on the EX, GT-Line, and GT. The LXS has an MSRP of $26,185, even with all those standard features.

All four trims feature a 3.5-liter V-6 that garners 290 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque to give you plenty of get-up-and-go. Upgrades for the 2023 model year include dual 12.3-inch displays for the driver information display and touch screen infotainment on the SX. You also get blind-spot monitor view technology and an optional dual-screen rear entertainment system with media streaming.
