2024 Kia Telluride Interior

The Kia Telluride is at the top of the list for many SUV shoppers for many reasons, and the list continues to grow with the 2024 model. Not only does it have a smooth and powerful V-6 engine and a cabin filled with luxury features, but it also has lots of space and the tech that families love. Let’s take a closer look at the 2024 Kia Telluride and see why it’s the best choice if you’re looking for a three-row SUV.

The Kia Telluride’s Exterior Features

The 2024 Kia Telluride comes in several trim levels, each one offering a unique set of exterior features. There’s a Telluride model for everyone, starting with the LX trim, which has 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, and keyless entry. The S adds to this with a sunroof, roof rails, and 20-inch wheels, and then the EX has power-folding exterior mirrors and a hands-free liftgate with a smart opening system that will open automatically when you stand behind the Telluride with the key fob for at least three seconds.

Up next in the lineup is the SX with two sunroofs and the option for the tow package with a tow hitch and trailer wiring. Other three-row SUVs, such as the Chevrolet Traverse and Honda Pilot, don’t have added off-road capabilities. If you want some extra capabilities for your Telluride, the X-Line and X-Pro models add a lifted suspension, 20-inch wheels with all-season tires, and an enhanced traction control system. These models also have higher roof rails, gloss-black exterior trim, and a unique grille design.

Power and Performance

Under the hood of every 2024 Kia Telluride, you’ll find a 3.8-liter V-6 gas engine that puts out 291 horsepower. It works with an eight-speed automatic transmission and comes with front-wheel drive in all models except the SX Prestige. This trim comes standard with all-wheel drive, and it’s optional for the rest of the lineup. The best way to see how the Telluride drives is to take one out on the road. You might be wondering if there’s a Kia Telluride Hybrid. Currently, you’ll get to enjoy gas power when you drive this family-friendly SUV. If you want a hybrid powertrain, you can find it on several other Kia models, including the smaller Kia Sorento hybrid and the Sportage Hybrid.

The Telluride is the largest SUV in the Kia lineup, and the V-6 has the power you need whether you stick to driving in town or need to head out on the highway. It can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 6.8 seconds  and provides a smooth ride, which can be made even smoother with the available self-leveling rear suspension. If you have a trailer, camper, or boat to pull, most of the lineup can tow up to 5,000 pounds. The X-Pro increases this to 5,500 pounds.

Technology

The 2024 Kia Telluride comes equipped with a wide range of technology features that will satisfy everyone. If you’re sitting in the front seat, you’ll have a 12.3-inch touch screen in the center of the dash within reach, and the higher-end trims also come with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster in front of the driver. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, and there’s a six-speaker stereo in the base LX trim.

You’ll get a wireless charging pad in the S trim and above, and the SX has a 10-speaker Harman Kardon stereo system. This trim is where the 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster comes standard, but if you bump up to the SX Prestige, you’ll also get a 110-volt power outlet.

Some other tech features you can get with the Telluride include Kia’s digital key. This allows you to use your smartphone or smartwatch to lock, unlock, and start the SUV. If you have a friend or family member who needs to drive your Telluride, you can even send them their own digital key so they can get in and drive the vehicle.

Cabin Comfort and Convenience Features

The Telluride has room for up to eight people, and if you’re looking for the lowest Kia Telluride price, you’ll still get a lot with the entry-level LX. Kia’s SynTex faux leather upholstery provides comfort for everyone to enjoy. The second-row bench seat has a one-touch slide-and-fold feature for easy access to the third row, and the dual-zone automatic climate control system has rear seat controls.

The S trim adds a power-adjustable driver’s seat and captain’s chairs in the second row, and if you bump up to the EX, you’ll get leather upholstery, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, and ventilated front seats. Take another step up to the SX, and you’ll get a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with a thigh cushion extension and driver’s seat memory settings. The upscale Prestige builds on the SX with upgraded nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated first and second-row seats, and a simulated suede headliner. The Prestige also adds to all this with a heated steering wheel.

Safety Features

No matter which 2024 Kia Telluride you have, it comes loaded with a comprehensive list of active and passive safety systems. The LX starts the lineup with advanced driver aids such as adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with automatic braking, and lane-keep assist.

The SX adds to this with a blind-view monitor that provides a live view of the blind spot in the instrument cluster and a surround-view camera system. The SX also adds Kia’s Highway Driving Assist 2 system. This has an enhanced version of adaptive cruise control with the ability to change lanes when you activate the turn signal. An upgraded forward collision mitigation system can detect oncoming traffic and use the evasive steering assist feature to avoid a collision.
